CONCORD — Assistant Fire Chief Walter Latta reports that the Concord Fire Department responded Tuesday to a construction site accident that injured two workers.
On Tuesday, Sept. 19, at approximately 11:15 a.m., the Concord Fire Department was dispatched to the area of Elm Street for a report of a construction incident.
Firefighters arrived to discover that two construction workers were injured when construction equipment struck them while they were installing granite curbing.
Both workers were treated at the scene and then transported by ambulance to Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington.
The Concord Police Department, Acton Fire Department and Pro-ALS provided assistance at the scene. The U.S. Occupational Health and Safety Administration was notified.
